Moss Terrariums Moss terrariums, also called jar moss, moss jar, garden in a jar, etc... have become a very popular home decor and design element in the past few years.  There are several types of moss terrariums, from those made with glass cloches to those constructed from vintage glass jars and bottles. Visit Vintage Junky's Etsy Shop for our current Moss Terrarium selections>>> Vintage Junky uses mostly Pillow Moss in her vintage glass jar moss terrariums but you can use just about any kind of live moss including: ~ live sheet moss ~ live pillow moss ~ live cushion moss ~ live haircap moss ~ live rock cap moss Living moss gardens in a jar are very easy to grow and maintain.  To keep them looking green and fresh set them in an area of your home that is out of direct sunlight.  Then, mist them once every few weeks with a spray bottle of water and that's it!  The jars actually form a miniature eco-system, the moisture in your moss terrarium will condensate on the glass and roof of the jar, and then it will rain down onto your moss garden.
